Baby n Me (birth to 9 months)

The major goal of this class is to foster optimal development of the infant and give parents an opportunity to explore child development and parenting issues. The class consists of a sharing time for parents, singing and exercises for infants, directions on how to make appropriate toys, and a topical presentation by the instructor.

Explorers (9 to 18 months)

The purpose of this class is to give parents an environment where they can comfortably bring their explorer and have him/her have a positive exploratory experience while remaining in close proximity to their parent. Parents explore developmental issues pertaining to the exploring age, as well as adult issues of growth.

Key Benefits:
  .  The class is offered as a transitional experience from the Infant
      to Toddler Class
  .  Explorers will experience a variety of sensory experiences, including
      large and small motor skills, imaginary play, and music
  .  Parents learn about explorer age issues: temper tantrums, language
      development, general development, sleep, nutrition, and discipline

Toddlers (18 to 30 months)

The purpose of this class is to provide a positive experience for the child. This class also enables the parent to investigate a variety of toddler development issues and parenting concerns. Each class consists of gymnasium time, free play, snack or lunch, and singing for the children. Parents alternate each week between supervising the children's lab, and attending a seminar conducted by the instructor.

  .  Parents will examine a variety of effective discipline techniques
  .  Parents will learn how to effectively interact with children less
      than three years old
  .  Children will have an opportunity to explore an enriched preschool       environment, which includes puzzles, blocks, painting, sand,
      play-dough, climbing, and creative sensory experiences

Movers (2-1/2 to 3-1/2)

The purpose of this class is to offer pre-three children a positive opportunity to explore a wide variety of materials, deal with limited separation from their parents, and explore social relationships with one another.

Parents examine issues concerning three year olds and deal with adult development issues.

Key Benefits:
  .  Parents will study topics such as discipline, development, self-
      esteem, sexuality, learning styles, brain research, and emotional
      coaching
  .  Parents will receive support and assistance in their role as a parent
  .  Children will be exposed to problem solving and conflict resolution
      techniques

Groovers (3-1/2 to 4-1/2)
